Royalprince Media Services, publishers of Emporium Reporters, Emporium Magazine and Emporium Online TV, has announced that the maiden edition of the Emporium Leadership Lecture and Awards 2026 will hold on June 25 at the National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) Headquarters Auditorium, Maitama District, Abuja.
The event, which coincides with the 10th anniversary of Emporium Reporters, is aimed at celebrating outstanding leadership, institutional excellence and remarkable contributions to national development across various sectors.
According to a statement signed by the Publisher and Chief Executive Officer of Royalprince Media Services, Lukman Laleye Babalola, the lecture will be held under the theme, “From Clicks to Credibility: Digital Media’s Role in Deepening Nigeria’s Democracy.”
The statement noted that discussions at the event will focus on the growing influence of digital media in promoting credible information, responsible journalism, accountability and democratic development in Nigeria.
Chief Sunday Akinlabi Dare, CON, FNIS, Special Adviser to the President on Media and Public Communication, is expected to chair the event, while the Publisher of World Entourage Magazine, Abdullahi O. Haruna Haruspice, will deliver the keynote lecture.
Among the distinguished personalities expected at the gathering are the President of the Senate, Senator Godswill Obot Akpabio, GCON, who will serve as Special Guest of Honour; the Minister of Information and National Orientation, Mohammed Idris; Director-General of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC), Brigadier General Olakunle Oluseye Nafiu; Inspector-General of Police, IGP Olatunji Rilwan Disu; Executive Secretary of the National Human Rights Commission, Chief Tony Ojukwu, SAN, OFR; and Director-General of the National Orientation Agency (NOA), Mallam Lanre Issa-Onilu.
The organisers further stated that the event will feature the conferment of awards on distinguished Nigerians and institutions that have demonstrated excellence in leadership, public service and national development.
Those listed for recognition include ACC John Attah Onoja, National Commander of the Mining Marshals, Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC); Alhaji Abdur-Rahman Adekunle Balogun, Director of Media, Public Relations and Protocol, Nigerians in Diaspora Commission (NIDCOM); Comptroller-General of the Nigeria Customs Service, Bashir Adewale Adeniyi; Chairman of the Senate Committee on Industry, Senator Francis Adenigba Fadahunsi, OFR; and Chairman of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), FCT Council, Comrade Grace Ike.
Other award recipients are Fame Foundation for its advocacy and social impact initiatives; energy consultant, Dr. Wisdom Enang; former member of the House of Representatives, Hon. Abdullahi Mahmud Gaya; Founder of InnoBec Business School, Dr. Innocent Odey; Chief Operating Officer of InvestData Consulting Limited, Ambrose Omordion; and Director-General of the Voice of Nigeria (VON), Malam Jibrin Baba Ndace.
Babalola stated that the initiative underscores the organisation’s commitment to promoting credible journalism, responsible leadership and sustainable national development. He added that the 10th anniversary of Emporium Reporters represents a significant milestone, marking a decade of impactful reporting, public engagement and dedication to informing society.
He further stated that the event would also witness the unveiling of a special 10th Anniversary Commemorative Edition of Emporium Magazine, which documents the achievements of notable personalities and institutions making meaningful contributions across different sectors of the economy.
The organisers expressed confidence that the event will attract top government officials, media executives, corporate leaders, policymakers and other stakeholders committed to strengthening credible communication, democratic values and national progress.
